Training went well, my crew is awesome, and we have tried to think through every detail including pacing strategy. Your writeup both encourages and terrifies me. But I'll be thinking of you and your grit to keep moving as I go. Thanks for this blog post. If nothing else you prove you can be miserable and have a sense of humor at the same time. Thanks so much!inmdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03835999753536262458noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1762797438051684168.post-71579624558130622032018-08-13T10:44:37.432-06:002018-08-13T10:44:37.432-06:00Fun read, Cory... why am I considering subjecting ...Fun read, Cory... why am I considering subjecting myself to this next year?? :DPaul Grimeshttp://www.gopaulgo.runnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1762797438051684168.post-32669585143957389512017-02-04T22:47:40.206-07:002017-02-04T22:47:40.206-07:00Great report Cory (though I'm a year and a hal...Great report Cory (though I'm a year and a half behind on responding). Fun to read a report from a fellow finisher. I'm Jake and finished just a few minutes behind you as we leap frogged over the last 5 miles or so. My low point was at mile 92 and it was 95 degrees. But with the help of my son, I finished! Just finished your book and I loved it. Very funny and inspirational. BTW I'm the guy that gave you (you were probably pacing?) and your friend a ride to the finish line from the Staton aid station last year. I hope our paths cross again. On the other side my DIL, daughter and I (the crew) were struggling with computers not updating (what do you mean he is still at the AID station), finding places to park on scary mountain roads, and wishing we could levitate to back country aid stations with ice for all you trying to make the cutoff. I loved reading this as it summarized a lot of what he experienced as well and a memorable family bonding experience before he headed off for another deployment.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13216739250185760224noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1762797438051684168.post-16317589905492148102015-09-18T11:05:48.373-06:002015-09-18T11:05:48.373-06:00"I think I boiled it down to one thing: the h..."I think I boiled it down to one thing: the harder you work for something, the more it means to you."
