Amazing Running Video and A Winner

I saw this video on Ryan's blog a few days ago about a runner named Ben Comen. Ryan said that this video "would move you to tears". Yea, right. I'm a man. I'm pretty sure I won't be moved to tears. Bring it on.

I hate to admit it.....but Ryan was right. Please, do yourself a favor and watch this clip. I'd dare say it's some of the best 8 minutes you'll have all day.

Also, I'm happy to announce that Kara from It's A Dog Lick Baby World is the proud owner of the CDs, Subway card, and some Gu. You ought to visit her blog while you're at it. She's what you would call - very funny.

  3. Congrats to Kara, your giveaway seriously was one of my favorites that I've seen on the blog world. I remember reading about that story about Ben Komen a while back in Sports Illustrated, it is indeed one of the best sports stories I've ever heard. I had also seen that video before on ESPN.

    1. I'm not doing the Dogtown Half Marathon this year. I ran it last year and had fun. I hear the course is new and improved so it should be a good time. Good luck!

  9. wow! my nephew was recently diagnosed with cerebral palsy after his body shutdown and his brain was without oxygen for 20 minutes as he was rushed to the hospital as a 2 year old. his progress has been nothing short of miraculous and although he isn't walking yet 18 months after the accident, i can picture him doing this. he comes from a running family. thanks for sharing.
